Yeps, this could be usefull since French rating system is also used in Belgium. This would be easier to rate routes

@Dinoguy: This is actually already possible – just select the type and grade you wish to search on in the explorer, and the map will update based on your preferences. Also, the grade is calculated as approximate, so selecting V1 will show climbs from V0+ to V2 on the map.

Keep the feedback coming!

Hey, another cool feature along the same lines: It would be cool if you could search for climbs/problems by grade. For example, you could search for bouldering problems grades V1-V3, and it would show all the problems with those ratings that people have posted.

I can’t add a new route becasue it’s a trad climb, but the grades for it are sport grade. I go to sport grades and it’s all in European grading (which I’m familiar with from CLimbing Switzerland.) The probnlem is that the climb is using the North American grading system and its a 5.9+ climb. Why not open up the grading and list all possible grades so that the user can choose what is best for the climb they are adding instead of prividing grading sets for each type of climb (trad, sport, boulder)?
Thanks

Yeah – we’re looking at incorporating as many grading systems as possible into Bouldr, that way, everyone can use the system they feel most comfortable with.

Font grades would definitely be most useful.

Yeah – we already have a partial implementation of a grade converter, and as soon as we have got it right, we’ll be adding it to Bouldr. Watch this space!
