I would like to make a everyone aware of a very cool event that coming up on September 19th and 20th, Climb Up the World. This event is part of a Climb Up so Kids Can Grow Up series of events by the American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA).
This event works similar to a walk-a-thon but you are not bound by any geographical boundaries. This means that anyone can participate any where in the world. There is a team in South Korea participating, teams throughout the United States and not to mention all the individuals who have registered. For more details on the event and for event registration visit www.climbupsokidscangrowup.com
All the funds raised through friends, family and sponsors goes directly to providing life saving medicine, food, and medical supplies for children, caregivers, and pregnant mothers. With this medicine children can grow-up and help make changes in their communities, women have a good chances of giving birth to an AIDS free baby.
I will actually be participating in the Climb Up Kilimanjaro event and we will be summiting on the same day as the Climb Up The World event.
Join me and the many others around the world who want to get out and have some fund while raising money for a great cause.
Great cause, good luck to you and yours. I didn’t know until just now. I will try to get the local climbing crew together this weekend and try to raise some money. That is if the weather breaks. It is looking like an aerial drinking water delivery system for this weekend here in Northwest Arkansas though. I know of a place that is almost completely shielded from the elements that might be climbable. later
