My fitness instructor wife LOVES to climb and I want to learn a new sport (I’m an avid mountain biker) so we can exercise together. Her last climb was Ancient Art Tower in Moab (yeah the same one you see in the commercial that’s running all the time). We also have "climb all the 14ers in Colorado on our “bucket list” and we’re not getting any younger. 8-(
We’re both in great shape, fearless (our friends call us the “Adventure Rangers” and our kids can’t keep up with us). We also have great outdoor resources and experience to get to remote climbs and camp onsite (Winnebago View 24.5’ Mercedes turbo diesel RV, heavily modified & lifted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, mountain bikes, backpacks, ets.) and have traveled to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and New Zealand.
What’s the best way to learn this sport?
What equipment do we need to get started?
How do we find experienced climbers to “show us the ropes”?
Let us hear from you. We’ve both “paid it forward:” by helping a LOT of people learn other sports (gymnastics, mountain biking, 4-wheeling, etc.) and we’d like some climbers to do the same for us.
