There’s a free iPhone app that allows you to convert from the YDS scale (USA) to most others, including the Ewbank and British grading systems.

Hey guys,
Can anybody tell the best/easiest way of getting to the tube bouldering area? Just checked out some of the pics and the problems look pretty good. I live in Derby so i’m not too far away.

Cheers
Dunc.

We’re using the french system at the moment, though we are building a grade converter to allow you to select which grading system you prefer. For reference, this should help you out:

Hey guys, I was just wondering what sport climb grading system is being used in the app? I need to be able to compare it to the ewbank system (Australia) in order to add climbs but I’m not familiar with (for example) f6a+.

Cheers

Getting as Close to the Climb Location as Possible

Google is always expanding the hi-res imagery on their maps service, so when adding a problem or climb to Bouldr, it is often a good idea to switch to satellite view, and get as close in as possible.

For example, The Buckstone is clearly visible, as are many climbs around the Stanage Plantation. By zooming in, you can even pinpoint the climbs on the actual boulders!
